About the Director

Jamie HorbanJamie Horban is a producer, choreographer, dance teacher, performer, and event coordinator who has had experience working in multiple states and cities including Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Denver, LA, as well as others. Her knowledge and familiarity of dance spans all classical and most cultural dance forms including but not limited to ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop,musical theater, Argentinian Tango, Salsa, Belly Dance, Polish dance,line dance, Bollywood, Chinese Fan, waltz, Swing, African, Aerial, dance through the decades as well as others. She also has taught fitness classes in pilates, yoga, zhumba and Silver Sneakers. Her original dance training is from Evanston School of Ballet, Ruth Page Dance Center, Lou Conte Dance Studio, Ellis du Boulet, Chicago Ballet, Gus Giordano, and Joel Hall Dance Center. She graduated with a BS in Dance and Film from Northwestern University in 1999. She has worked with various companies around the United States including Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Chicago Cultural Center, White Oak Dance Project, Cirque Du Soleil, Interlochen Arts Academy, Atlanta Ballet, Dance 411 and Bloc South, Korean Dance Company, Angel Chinese Dance Theater, Ballet Legere, Atlanta Ballet Pre Pros, Dance Chicago, Jean Ann Ryan Productions , Stone Mountain Park, The Actor's Gymnasium, Northlight Theatre, Northbrook Theatre, Bailiwick Theater, Watertown Children's Theater, Metropolis Performing Arts Center, Ethnic Exposure Dance Company, Stevenson High School, Onstage Dance Company, Vaudeville Underground, Live Bait Theater, DDO Agency, Vintage Theater, Point Sebago Resort, and CK Dance Company in Palm Springs, California as well as many others. Jamie is the artistic director of Solestance Productions, that has produced festivals nationwide for 20 years and has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, WZRD Radio, The Daily Herald, Pioneer Press, Channel 11 WTTW Chicago, Channel 9 WGN Chicago, Chicago Public Radio, Denver Post and Creative Loafing Atlanta.
